Our business is pretty simple. We rent and sell shipping containers. Of course, there are all kinds of other aspects to the business that make it more complicated, but we know you probably only care about whether renting or buying a Container is the right solution for your storage needs. The first thing most customers ask about is pricing.

Rental Rates for Shipping Containers

Our rental rates vary by location, and also differ for residential and commercial customers. For commercial customers we take into consideration the length of the rental and whether or not they are renting more than one container at a time. Visit our locations page to find your nearest store to get a better idea of our rates and to contact your nearest container Store directly.

Purchase Prices for Shipping Containers

If you're looking to buy a shipping container, our sale prices also vary by location and whether you're buying multiple Boxes. Call us at 0141 4042446 to find out prices in your area or request a quote online. You can buy new or used shipping containers from us. Our used inventory varies by yard, and is subject to availability. If we don't have it in stock, chances are we can source what you're looking for and have it to you in a few days!

Should You Rent or Buy?

Most customers already have a good idea of whether they want to rent or buy a container, and usually that is simply based on whether the need is temporary or permanent. Based on our rental rates and sale pricing, the break even point is usually between two and a half to three years. If you're planning on renting a container for more than 3 years, you're probably already considering whether or not you would be better off buying. While the math is pretty straight-forward, there are other things to take into consideration that may make renting a more attractive option. Call us today to discuss your options with one of our experienced Storage Consultants: 0141 4042446 .

Benefits of Renting

Cash Flow
Obviously, renting is much better for your short-term cash flow. You will avoid a larger cash outlay up front, you can use that money for another purpose.

Reduced Liability
Having your shipping container tagged with graffiti is not cool. That's why we offers optional vandalism protection on rented units, which eliminates the risk of having to pay for damages in the future.

Professional Appearance
While a container will last a long time, after a number of years they can start to look dated. If you're renting the container, you can always swap out the rental with a newer container at anytime. So, if image is important, renting may be better for you.

Flexibility on Sizes
When you're renting a container, it's easy to change to a larger or smaller size if you need to. There's no need to go through the time-consuming process of selling and buying again. Just make one phone call and we'll switch out your Box to the size that fits your current needs.

Flow Through Billing
Many of our business customers prefer to rent, especially if they are managing a project for a third party. This is typical for construction companies. The monthly rent becomes an expense that is billed to the client as a project cost, which simplifies the billing, as opposed to the construction company owning the shipping container and charging a rental fee on that asset. (See, it's even complicated to explain!)
